Julie + Ben = Downtown Lancaster Holiday Engagement Session
When I first spoke with Julie over the phone in the fall of 2016, I could hardly wait to meet her and her fiance, Ben. We spoke over the phone because although they grew up close to the Lancaster area, they currently live in warm and sunny Florida!
While home for a Christmas/New Years break, we were able to find time meet up for a great time of getting to know each other as well as capturing engagement photos. Who knew that just a few days after Christmas in Lancaster would be temperatures not equal to but warmish like Florida. The beautiful weather made for a very full city, along with Central Market being open, we worked hard for every image. Julie and Ben had great patience as we waited for crowds to part so we could do photos. It was worth every second.
Some of their session was captured in the Taproom by Springhouse Brewery, as both Ben and Julie are fans of microbrewed beers. We also were able to include their deep love for baseball and their own Tampa Bay Rays!
These two met through their connections at Bloomsburg University, he as a swimmer and she as a Lacrosse player. They have been dating since 2013 and lived in the Philadelphia area for awhile, which gave them a love for the City life. In the fall of last year, Ben took Julie back to one of their favorite spots in Philadelphia, the Ben Franklin bridge which was a place that they often walked and went for runs. That particular day was a bit different, this was the date that Ben had decided to propose to his beautiful girlfriend Julie. With a yoga class watch from the grounds close by.. she said yes... while the class cheered with excitement! Little did Julie know that Ben had brought in friends and family from Lancaster and Bloomsburg to be part of their celebration.
These two were delightful to work with, and it made me smile watching how they adore each other. While I don't want to wish away time as 2017 has just begun, I do look forward to their fall 2017 wedding at Rockford Plantation.
