The 2017 wedding season was a spectacular one. The wedding day of Chelsea and Dan Shanks was elegant in so many ways. The florals, the attire, the venue, the food, the decor, every last detail was simply amazing. Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, PA was the perfect setting for this wedding day.
My time with Chelsea and Dan over the last year from when we first met, to their engagement session and then their wedding day were all filled with joy and immediate friendship. It's not really a surprise that their first look brought me to tears as well as their handwritten vows. During the first look, Dan gave Chelsea a handwritten love note and gifts that were specific to some of her favorite things. Once Chelsea was in place to walk up behind her groom, and as the team of photographers and videographers waited, Chelsea paused, took it all in and then proceeded into a first look that was absolutely precious. As she and Dan saw each other for the first time, they giggled, hugged, kissed and told each other they loved each other a dozen times. I found myself crying behind the camera because having had my own first look many years ago, it was very clear that Chelsea was not missing a second of her big day and savoring every minute with Dan.
The weather was spectacular and the sun began to set during their ceremony. The grounds and ceremony site were beautiful. After a few photos, the bride and groom entered their celebration/reception to the most amazing singers and musicians, they danced and partied the night away. I am convinced every guest was on the dance floor, as everyone was part of the celebration!
Thank you, Chelsea and Dan, for allowing me to be part of your big day! How sweet it was getting to know each of you! Best wishes for MANY wonderful years ahead!
