Sydney + Griff | Glenn Ellen Farm | Summer Wedding
There are times in our lives when we meet people that forever affect and change our lives. Sydney and Griff are two of these people. Last year I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Sydney’s sister Bailey. I loved working with this family from our first meeting. When Sydney reached out and asked me to photograph her wedding, I was thrilled.
Sydney did not know at the time that the year ahead would be filled with health challenges that would make planning a wedding a challenge. Not only did Sydney plan the most spectacular day but she did it all with a smile on her face and joy, overflowing with joy. Griff, well he’s one of the most caring and compassionate men I have ever met. He not only made me laugh constantly, but he shows a tenderness to his bride that is uncompromised.
The wedding was held at Glen Ellen Farm in Ijamsville, MD which is a beautiful farm with trees, barn ruins, floral fields, a pond and so much more. The photo opportunities were endless. Saturday was a very warm day and the forecast for the week before the wedding was not favorable. We were all thrilled when the weather changed enough to allow Sydney and Griff to have their dream wedding outside by the pond. We had enough time to capture all their portraits outside and then the skies let the rain fall! We again were thrilled when the rains stopped mid-reception, and we were able to capture a few more portraits at some spots on the grounds that were important to both Sydney and Griff.
This day was spectacular and I am so excited to share this love-filled day on the blog! Enjoy a peek into this day and congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Magness!
