Quarryville, PA | Farm Engagement Session | Jacey + Justin
On a very cold and windy Sunday, I met with Jacey and Justin on Justin's family farm in Quarryville, PA for their engagement session. The weather the week before had been unseasonably warm which made the temps feel extra cold on Sunday. I am not sure Jacey was aware of the cold temps, she was too excited chatting about the details of the upcoming summer wedding!
Both Jacey and Justin, born and raised into farming, have a love for farming and are actively involved with their Lancaster County family farms. It's always so interesting for me to hear the enthusiasm that young farmers speak of to explain their passion for their work. It's always humbling as I have great respect for what they do to provide for all of us.
Jacey and Justin met when Jacey was just 16 but even with the BIGGEST crush on Justin, Jacey had to wait for six years for him to ask her out on their first date. He, of course, was speaking her love language when he showed up at her front door after church one Sunday and asked her to ride along on the milk truck.
This past Christmas, Jacey was hoping for a practical Christmas gifts and never expected that inside the boot of her boyfriend, he carried around a piece of sparkle that would outshine any muck boots or Carhart Coveralls. Convinced Jacy knew the proposal was coming, he got down on one knee Christmas Eve and asked Jacey to be his bride. She was totally stunned and accepted with pure excitement!! She had no idea he was planning on popping the question that evening.
Spending time with these two was so fun and full of energy. They love to laugh, (which I always appreciate!) and are overflowing with excitement for their upcoming Wedding Day which of course, involves Big Red Tractors, a beautiful Lancaster County farm and lots of love!
