Hilary + Shawn | Rockford Plantation | Engagement
Lancaster PA | Rockford Plantation | Engagement Session
Shawn and Hilary met in August 2014 while they were both in school at Penn State University. Through luck and a mutual friend, they met for the first time at Bar Bleu in downtown State College. Shortly after that evening, they met again at a local Starbucks and spent hours chatting. The rest is history!
Shawn proposed at the Garden of the Five Senses in Lancaster County Park on March 23, 2019. Under the pretense that the two were going for a date night, Hilary hopped into the car with Shawn expecting to head to dinner straight from her apartment. He made an excuse for a “quick stop” at the Garden, as it is a favorite for the couple. Along the garden path, Shawn laid a total of four notes, accompanied by a rose. Each note signified a year that they’d been together with a message special to that year. While walking down the path, Shawn had music playing, and he pre-decorated the gazebo with flowers. They danced beneath the gazebo before he got down on one knee to pop the question.
It seemed only fitting to capture their engagement session at the same spot he proposed!! We had a beautiful summer evening full of rich colors for their sweet engagement session.
Here is a sneak peek into our time together!!
