Lilac Dream & Forget Me Not: A Day of Pastel Romance at Overhills Mansion
What a dream it was to photograph not one, but two breathtaking styled shoots at the elegant Overhills Mansion in Baltimore, Maryland. Designed by the talented Laura Gares of East Coast Styled Shoots, Lilac Dream and Forget Me Not each told a unique story—both full of romantic details, soft pastel hues, and thoughtful artistry.
Lilac Dream was a floral fantasy come to life. With delicate purple tones, flowing floral gowns, the vision was soft, romantic, and entirely swoon-worthy. Hand-painted veils added an ethereal, bespoke touch to the bridal looks, while the pastel florals brought an air of fairytale charm. Every corner felt light, whimsical, and made for the couple who loves to daydream in color.
Forget Me Not, on the other hand, leaned into refined elegance. A serpentine table took center stage, adorned with the lightest pastel blooms tucked into simple bowls and vases. The minimal-yet-intentional floral styling created an intimate, heartfelt atmosphere—perfectly fitting the shoot’s name and message. Every element celebrated timeless beauty and quiet romance. It even included a parasol covered in blooms
Overhills Mansion provided the perfect backdrop for both shoots, with its classic charm, graceful architecture, and warm natural light. Whether it was the airy lilac tones of Lilac Dream or the serene simplicity of Forget Me Not, each styled shoot had its own magic—and it was such a joy to capture it all.
